Park Guell is a stunning private park complex situated on top of Carmel hill overlooking the city. It was created and designed by Barcelona’s favourite architect and son Antoni Gaudi, during the artist’s naturalist phase. Besides the stunning vista, the park also holds several structures and buildings inspired by the cities natural beauty with gorgeous mozaic patterns incorporated into beautiful tableaus.

Chök

Walking around Barcelona can be quite the appetite creator, so why not stop into Chök an absolutely delightful patisserie famed for its croughnuts! La Sagrada Familia

Another creation of Gaudis to make the list, the Sagrada Familia is the quintessential Barcelona experience. its construction began in 1883 and to this day is still unfinished. Although Gaudi died in 1927 before he could finish his masterpiece, the construction continues to this day. The Basilica is a staggering 172 metres high and dominates the Barcelona skyline. The interior is made up of huge pillars that channel light and colour throughout the as well as massive walls of stained glass windows. In the crypts of the basilica you can find the history of the building’s construction and you can even see some of the original models and plans the architect himself worked on.
