A valid photo ID such as passport, national identity cards, driver’s licence, national military service card, etc is required at check-in. Please note that student Cards are NOT accepted as valid ID.

Check-in is from 15:00pm at Safestay. Please check your confirmation email for up to date check-in information. Check-out is 11:00 am ( 10:00 am for the London properties), or you can pay 5€ for late check-out. If you’re arriving early you’re welcome to store your luggage in one of our luggage rooms or safety deposit boxes.

There is no booking fee for booking with us directly, however, there may be a legally required city tax which you will be required to pay upon check-in. This is city-dependent and not required at all venues. Please refer to your confirmation email for further information on whether a city tax applies to you. For email and phone bookings we require valid credit card details to guarantee your booking.

Flexible bookings can be canceled or amended up to 24 hours before arrival. Non-refundable bookings however are nonrefundable. Due to the covid situation however, we can review these on a case-by-case basis. We may be able to accommodate date-change requests and we urge you to contact the hostel directly asap via email or phone. The further in advance, you contact us, the more able we can be to help.

Safestay welcomes all guests and unlike some of our competitors we do not require guests to be members of any organisation in order to enjoy our facilities and services. Guests staying with Safestay must be 18 years or over or must be accompanied by someone 18 years or over.

Guests under the age of 18 are only permitted to stay in private rooms or shared rooms that are booked for the sole use of one family or a group of persons booked together and must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Those under the age of 18 cannot stay in shared dorms.

Yes, bed linen is included!

Our private twin & double have towels included. Towels are available at all hostels for an additional fee. Please contact the individual hostels for more information. Private dorms booked as rooms will also have towels included unless booked through the groups booking system. In which case, our group’s co-ordinators will ask you to confirm whether you need towels as part of your package.

Yes! We offer 100% FREE Wi-Fi in communal areas and have free Wi-Fi throughout all of our properties.
