The capital of the UK, London is one of the most exciting and happening cities. Especially with the world re-opening, there is so much on offer to try and do that we would be exhausted trying to list them all. It’s all well and good to visit Buckingham Palace with your mum but here are some of our top recommendations to make your next big London adventure the best it can be!

1) Go to a festival!
- Location Peckham Rye Park, 34 Straker's Rd, London SE15 3UA
Festivals are synonymous with the great British summer, however, they have been few and far between over the last couple of years. Make the most of the world re-opening and dive into London’s amazing music scene with hundreds of gigs, shows and no less than 16 major festivals in this fair city alone! Gala festival, located in Peckham Rye Park, is one of our favourites and showcases the biggest and best from the UKs techno and DnB scene.

2) Amazing bars - God's own junkyard
- Location Unit 12, Ravenswood Industrial Estate, Shernhall St, London E17 9HQ
- Opening Hours 11am - 10pm
London really does have some of the sickest nightlife with over 3500 pubs to choose from. However, if you are looking for something a little more out of the ordinary, we cannot recommend “God’s own Junkyard” enough. Situated in an industrial estate, this Ali’s cave esq wonderland inside an unassuming warehouse has everything you could ever desire. From eclectic art, neon signs, imaginative cocktails and some heavy good munch – its everything in one place!
All we can say is….See you in heaven 😉

3) Take a graffiti tour in Croydon
Street art is all the rage and in London, there’s no exception. Once considered a dangerous “ends”, Croydon is now being heralded as the next big thing with major developments underway and urban regeneration on the agenda. Some of the most amazing talents have come out of the London borough…Stormzy, Amy Winehouse and even supermodel Kate Moss. So it should be no surprise that Croydon is a thriving hub of street artistry. With amazing work from local and international artists adorning the street walls, it is THE Instagram location for your feed!

4) Head to the Markets
- Location Columbia Rd, London E2 7RG
London is famed for its amazing markets from Camden food market to Borough Christmas market and even the famous covent garden has a plethora of stalls and goodies. However, why not try a market with a difference? Bethnal Green flower market, a little off the beaten track, is a tropical affair with amazing plants from all over the world. Whether you like a wee cactus or a massive cheese plant, it’s sure to have something to tickle your fancy. This floral explosion is a brilliant place to grab a coffee, peruse some plants and immerse yourself in an authentic London experience. Who knows, maybe you’ll even take home a new potted friend to boot!

5) Notting Hill Festival
- Location Notting Hill Festival
Notting hill festival is London’s biggest and most iconic street festival. Celebrating Caribbean culture, dance and food, the carnival fills the streets with colour and life. An amazing day for performers and the crowd alike, the only thing we would say is to make sure to keep it respectful with noise when the festival ends at 7 as it’s still a residential area however there are loads of official after parties!
