If you’re fans of history then you’ve probably already discussed going to Edinburgh for a trip. Remember to check out The Real Mary King’s Close as well – the close is infamous due to its display of the misery and illness that plagued the city throughout the 16th and 17th centuries. The tour is not for the faint of heart but is worth seeing 👻

It’s general knowledge that if a global artist goes on a European tour, they will be performing in Edinburgh. Fans all over the UK and Europe rush to book accommodation in Edinburgh months in advance for the likes of Harry Styles, Beyonce, and most recently Taylor Swift (she’ll be performing for 3 nights in June at BT Murrayfield Stadium). 🎫

Though that’s not all, Edinburgh is home to the infamous Fringe Festival – the world’s largest performance arts festival that lasts 3 weeks. The Fringe Festival is where artistic development and inspiration begin – it’s a hotspot for creative producers and the media scouting for the next big talent. If performance art is not your taste, Edinburgh hosts 12 festivals every year, most of them during Summer, so you’re bound to find something for your friend group’s diverse taste! 🎭

Jokes aside, Edinburgh is a top destination for hen & stag weekends for a reason. 

Aside from good transportation links by train, bus, and air that make travelling from different locations extremely easy, Edinburgh is famous for its nightlife 🎆

From traditional Scottish pubs to contemporary cocktail bars, there’s something for everyone. You can spend the entire day walking around the Royal Mile, shopping for novelty souvenirs, and attending PG-13 workshops. Morning after you can cure your hangovers by taking a hike to Arthur’s Seat and taking in the view.
