    Located in the vibrant south of London, Safestay Elephant & Castle is a great hub for access to some of London’s most iconic landmarks. What was the Labour party’s old headquarters is now a stylish hostel! Nearby to the hostel guests find sumptuous food markets, walk along to Tower Bridge and catch great views of the city from the London Eye, before walking across to the Big Ben.

    Safestay Elephant & Castle is the perfect spot to help navigate around some of London’s best landmarks. When our guests return home there's a super bar downstairs, a place to relax and meet other travellers over a drink or a pizza. For music lovers we host events from Rock Nights to meetups.     *Please note that during the COVID period where limitations are placed on staff and what we can offer locally, menus will differ from the pictures shown here. We offer continental breakfast which includes a range of bread, croissants (chocolate & plain), as well as a range of tea's, coffee and juices. You will be fuelled up ready for your day of travelling! We have a range of hot and cold foods as well as a super fully licenced bar.

    Bar 60 is our restaurant/bar in Safestay Elephant & Castle. With great food and great drinks, it's a great place to enjoy a nice afternoon. On Friday's we host a rock night where the city's best muscians come to show of their skills!

    Please note there is no guest kitchen facility to cook and corkage is applied at only £1 per guest for outside food and soft drinks. No outside alcohol is allowed at all.

    It was a good experience. I would come back any time. The private room was clean, good size, Tv and nice Shower. Good location The staff Carla from Brazil was very friendly and helpful.

    Hi, I want to share my best experience with that amazing hostel. I spent one week there. The staff is very helpful. The location is very good. Especially the Housekeeping staff are very kindly people and they are doing great job. If you need something the people from the reception can help you any time. So, if you want to spent your time in London for less money that is the right place. Thank you guys you are the best.

    We've gathered a list of how to get to our Safestay London Elephant & Castle hostel by train and bus from all the major Airports and stations in London!

    > From Gatwick Airport

    Train & Tube
    From Gatwick Airport take the Thameslink train to London Bridge Station. At London Bridge take the Northern line to Elephant & Castle station.

    Bus
    From Gatwick Airport take the 026 bus to South Lambeth Road Stockwell Station (Stop A). Once there, grab bus no. 155 to Elephant & Castle London Rd station.
    From there it is a 2 minute walk to the Hostel

    > From Heathrow Airport

    Tube
    From Heathrow Airport walk towards Hatton Cross Station. At Hatton Cross Station you can take the Picadilly line, on the London Underground, to Picadilly Circus Station. Once there, take Bakerloo line to Elephant & Castle station. From there it is a 2-minute walk to our hostel!

    Train & Tube
    From Luton Airport take the shuttle to the station. Once there grab a Thameslink train to St Pancras International. From there grab another Thameslink train to Elephant & Castle station. From there it is a 2-minute walk to our hostel!

    From Luton Airport take the shuttle to Luton Airport station. Once there take the A1 Bus to Marble Arch (Stop S). At Marble Arch hop onto a London Bus (Number 148) to Elephant & Castle.

    Train & Tube
    From Stansted Airport take the Greateranglia train to London Liverpool Street station. From there, walk to morgate staion and grab the Northern Line to Elephant & Castle station. From there it is a 1-minute walk to our hostel!

    From Stansted Airport take Bus no. A8 to Primrose Street (Stop J). From there hop onto a London Bus (Number 344) to E & C Newington Causeway.
