When you submit an enquiry, a member of the team will reach out by phone or email to start building your pass for you. This will require an understanding of where you currently live and where you would like to travel, and on which dates. This information will help us put together the most efficient, fun and cost effective pass package for you. We will handle all rail travel bookings for you. We will also handle all reservations for Safestay hostels. Should you wish to travel to cities where Safestay do not operate, that’s not a problem. We can recommend where to stay, but this reservation would need to be made by the person travelling with the Safestay Rail Pass.
SAFESTAY RAIL PASS – 7 DAYS TRAVEL + 7 NIGHTS SAFESTAY ACCOMMODATION*
7 days of unlimited train travel using the Interrail Pass. You can use your 7 travel days (from midnight to midnight) any time within 1 month of your start date. Spread them out or use them back-to-back – it’s up to you.
SAFESTAY RAIL PASS – 15 DAYS TRAVEL + 15 NIGHTS SAFESTAY ACCOMMODATION*
15 days of unlimited train travel using the Interrail Pass. You can use your 15 travel days (from midnight to midnight) any time within 2 months of your start date. Spread them out or use them back-to-back – it’s up to you.
SAFESTAY RAIL PASS – 30 DAYS TRAVEL + 30 NIGHTS SAFESTAY ACCOMMODATION*
1 month of unlimited train travel using the Interrail Pass. Travel on as many trains as you like for 1 month straight – perfect for a fast-paced, flexible trip. Let us know your start date, then just fill in your Internal pass as you go. You can use your Safestay pass up to 1 month after your Interrail pass expiry date.
*This pass also includes any domestic train travel that is not covered by the Interrail pass, should you need it. Interrail only includes one outbound and one inbound journey in your country of residence, at any point during your trip. With the Safestay Rail Pass, we are able to handle all domestic bookings for you, along with your Interrail pass.

The pass does not include any breakfast or meals. You can add these to your pass at a significantly reduced cost of around 25% off the price by prebooking.
You can take part in free walking tours at selected Safestay locations and have access to discounted tours and experiences during your travel.
Cancellation
Once your pass has been configured, we require the full amount to be pre-paid. It is then non-refundable & non-transferable.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included. We encourage you to arrange your own travel insurance before you commence your journey. We currently do not offer travel insurance.
Reservations
The flexibility of the pass means you can turn up on the day. It is not required to book your accommodation in advance however it is recommended to avoid disappointment when you arrive at the hostel. In peak travel months hostels can be very busy.
The Safestay Pass includes accommodation in any size dorm (subject to availability). Supplements apply for Safestay hostel stays in private rooms, and any room in Hotels by Safestay. This will be explained to you when your logistics are arranged by the Rail Pass team. This depends on the time of year and which Safestay hostel you would like to stay in.
Taxes
The Safestay Pass is not inclusive of city taxes which have to be paid locally, on check-in. This will be explained to you during the booking process.
