#1 Glasgow Cathedral
Location: Castle St, Glasgow G4 0QZ
Hours: Mon-Sat: 9:30 – 17:30 / Sun: 13:00 – 17:00
As the oldest Cathedral on mainland Scotland, you can elevate your Insta with a great photo, as well as elevating your history knowledge! If you want the best photo, visit Cathedral square where the walkway allows for a great dramatic long-distance shot.
#2 Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum
Location: Argyle St, Glasgow G3 8AG
Hours: Everday 10am – 5pm
One of Europe’s greatest Art Galleries and what’s even better is that it’s free! Whether you fancy a snapshot of you walking up the museum’s grand marble staircase or a full-length photo outside the orange brick art gallery – either way, you will be prepped to level up your Insta likes.
#3 Pollok House and Country Park
Location: 2060 Pollokshaws Rd, Glasgow G43 1AT
Hours: Open 24 hours
Pollock house is the ancestral home to the Sterling-Maxwell family – which is now owned by The National Trust for Scotland – so you bet its fancy! If you want your socials to have a ‘royal’ theme or you just want to feel fancy for the day and get a picture up the huge stairs or in the garden’s maze then this is the place to go.
#4 Glasgow Botanic Gardens
Location: 730 Great Western Rd, Glasgow G12 0UE
Hours: Glasshouse every day: 10:00 – 18:00
If you want to feel like you’re in the tropics without the heavy price tag, pop down to Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens to get a great ‘jungle’ photo. During Spring and Summer, you can laze around in the gardens and get a snap with all the blooming flowers.
#5 The Lighthouse
Location: 11 Mitchell Ln, Glasgow G1 3NU
Hours: Hours: Mon-Sat: 10:30 – 17:00 / Sun: 12:00 – 17:00
As Scotland’s national centre for design and architecture, you can already expect that the inside is going to have some cool photo opportunities. The Lighthouse’s spiral staircase is a perfect backdrop for a photo or a stand-alone shot of some amazing architecture!
#6 River Clyde
As the eighth-longest river in the UK, you are bound to get a good scenic photo of the River Clyde. Capture that perfect couple goals photo of you and your significant other holding hands across the River Clyde bridge.
