If you are in for a bit of music and dancing then you’re in luck. Located perfectly on the beach, Pacha has events every night which showcase a variety of different music from both national and international artists. If you’re looking for something to do in the day, Pacha also owns a variety of restaurants situated in front of the sea. It is the perfect place to have a meal or a drink with friends.

Pacha is not the only place where you can enjoy a bit of music and dancing. Along the Port Olimpic you will find a variety of bars and nightclubs open until the early mornings. Again its situated along the beach so the views will be unbelievable.

Who loves a good burger! Well, then this is the place to go! Only a 7-minute walk from our Gothic Hostel, you will find the most delicious burgers in Barcelona. With freshly baked buns every day, you will be spoilt for choice with their unique combinations! They also have vegetarian and vegan burgers too!

When you’re looking for somewhere new to try, what a better way to switch it up than by visiting Mosquito Tapas bar. Serving traditional Vietnamese food, this quaint Asian Tapas bar is not to be missed. Although you cannot book in advance and will have to wait in line to be seated, it is well worth the wait! Situated close to many great museums, parks and concert halls, Mosquito Tapas is in the buzzing heart of the Gothic Quarter.
Don’t forget to try the restaurant’s dumplings – they truly are the stars of the show!

If you love history or politics then this famous square is not to be missed. In this square, you will locate two of Spain’s most important buildings – Barcelona City Hall and the seat of Catalunya’s government. This square has been particularly popular of late due to the recent referendum for Catalonia’s independence and because of this, it is often that you will find political rallies and demonstrations in the heart of the square. There are also many Catalan celebrations that take place here making it a place packed with history and spirit. If you want to take a walk through Barcelona’s history, this is the best place to go!

Make sure you visit to see the archaeological remains revealing the demarcations of streets and houses from the 17th century.

There are many tiny streets in the Gothic Quarter that are great to take those Instagram worthy pictures. Particularly as some of the streets are quite narrow they are great to capture those solo shots! If you walk down the street Carrer del Bisbe, you will find some great infrastructure and remnants of the Gothic Quarter such as gargoyles and archways – perfect for those Instagram pics!
2) Arco de Triunfo

On the west side of the Gothic Quarter is the Arco de Triunfo. This classical archway is great for any Instagram pictures and it leads straight onto Ciutadella Park – so if you’re in the mood to upload a great picture, there are plenty of opportunities to take the winning photo near here!
