Established in 1966 Bar Santos is a beloved local institution famed for its traditional Spanish fare. Some call it iconic, and it’s not an exaggeration. This cosy, unpretentious bar gained a legendary reputation, for its delicious and unique dishes.

You cannot miss a chance to try the infamous tortilla de patatas (Spanish potato omelette), which is often touted as one of the best in the city. Visitors and locals alike flock to Bar Santos to enjoy this tasty dish and it pairs beautifully with another classic of theirs – Salmorejo Cordobes (an Andalusian soup made of tomato, bread, extra virgin olive oil and garlic).

Located in the heart of Córdoba, Mercado Victoria is the city’s first gastronomic market and is now a hub for food lovers. It’s housed in a beautifully restored 19th-century pavilion and offers a variety of culinary delights from Andalusian dishes to international cuisine.
It can be overwhelming to decide what to eat and where, so Mercado Victoria is perfect for trying a bit of everything at the same time. Make sure to enjoy the traditional treat – Pastel Cordobes. Essentially, it’s sweetened squash jam filling between two layers of puff pastry and topped with sugar and cinnamon.
If you want to try Arabic cuisine, Bocaito andalusí is very well-rated and loved amongst visitors and locals for their halal choices. For proper Andalusian seafood dishes look no further than La Pescadoteca Andaluza – try Gambas Envueltas with a pint of beer and thank us later!

For a more sophisticated experience look no further than Casa Pepe located in the historic Jewish Quarter. This Michelin-starred restaurant combines tradition with elegance. Serving exceptional Andalusia cuisine expertly crafted for your enjoyment we recommend you try their rabo de toro (oxtail stew) and fried eggplant. And of course, don’t forget about their array of fresh seafood options and classic tapas.
The restaurant has a courtyard and a rooftop terrace providing stunning views of Mezquita Catedra making it the perfect destination for a special occasion while on holiday.

Nestled right next to Mezquita-Catedral is this modern eatery known for its innovative take on traditional Spanish cuisine. El Patrón is particularly praised for its creative tapas, artisanal cocktails, and stylish ambience.
We recommend you start with a glass of Vargas (a version of Tinto de Verano), a classic drink with Cordobian origins from the early 20th century when Federico Vargas created a mix of a red wine and soda pop for his patrons at Venta Vargas in Córdoba.
Apart from the tapas, you must try their burrata salad, and the main star of the restaurant is Moroccan chicken tagine. Last but not least, remember to reserve a table as it gets busy!

For a little treat pop into the BEST ice cream parlour in the city – Gelateria Da Vinci and give a taste to their artisanal gelato. The options are neverending – from classic favourites like chocolate and vanilla to unique creations featuring local fruits and nuts they have a flavour for your every need.
Still, we recommend trying the Tocino de Cielo flavour, which directly translates to ‘heaven’s bacon’.
